Color Run & Foam Party Weekend Is Coming July 11th!

Consider this your official warning: on July 11th, Butterfly Camping Resort will not be staying clean. Color Run & Foam Party weekend is almost here, and it's one of the most-anticipated weekends on our whole 2026 calendar.
If you've never done a color run, here's the idea — a fun run (emphasis on fun, zero emphasis on run) where you start in a white shirt and finish looking like a rainbow exploded, which it did, because that's the whole point. Color gets thrown, everyone laughs, and the photos are the best of the summer. It's for every age and every speed; plenty of "runners" walk it holding a toddler's hand.
And then there's the foam party. We'll just say it: there is no version of a foam party that kids do not lose their minds over. Mountains of foam, music going, everybody soaked and giggling — it's the closest thing to a snow day in July.
All the usual Butterfly Saturday goodness is still on deck around it — the morning walk, crafts, the Super Saturday Ice Cream Social, wagon rides, and B.I.N.G.O to cap the night. Add the color and the foam on top, and Saturday the 11th is going to be a full day.
What to pack for this one, learn from the veterans: a white shirt for every family member (that's the canvas!), clothes you genuinely don't care about, towels you feel the same way about, goggles or sunglasses for the foam, and a dry change of clothes for the walk back. A cheap poncho for the ride home in the car is a pro move. The color washes off people easily — shirts, though, wear it forever, which is kind of the trophy.
Sites for event weekends go quickly, and this is one of the big ones. If your summer needs a weekend where everybody comes home tie-dyed and worn out from laughing, call the office at 732-928-2107 and lock it in.
